Mobile Developer Group: 2 months, 4 weeks ago · ViewThe 2nd international open data day is 3rd Dec. We’re having a combined open data and mobile app hackathon that weekend, as part f the GIST Craft of Development Festival.
There’s space for new open data projects, as well as continuing work on the Sheffield City app project. All are welcome, whether you have technical, user, data, design, ideas or project management skills.

Phil Parkin started the forum topic App dev needed – Jessica Ennis Website in the group
Mobile Developer Group: 7 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewHello all, Chris Murray at The University of Sheffield pointed me to your group and suggested I send this enquiry. We run the official website for Jessica Ennis (Sheffield based world champ athlete). I’d like to find a skilled developer to help create an iPhone app, essentially a slimmed-down version of her website. I require [...]

Mobile Developer Group: 8 months, 1 week ago · ViewI’ve been playing with the Ushahidi platform since the #smug meeting on Saturday. I’ve set up an instance on their hosted platform, Crowdmap (http://crowdmap.com/), and it looks like the software could do much of what we wanted of the back-end system. I think it would be worth perusing the source code to see whether we could modify it to suit our purposes.
Check out http://bethere.crowdmap.com/. Android and iPhone clients are available here: http://download.ushahidi.com/ if you want to have a play with generating reports from your phone.
Unfortunately I can’t find a way of switching off the moderation queue – just one of many things we’d have to modify if we wanted to use this.
Thoughts? Comments?

Steve Dupree started the forum topic iPad Data Collection in the group
Mobile Developer Group: 10 months, 2 weeks ago · ViewWe have been asked to produce a product enquirey form that works on iPad for collecting customers data at an event.
The problem is that they will not necessarily have internet connection/wifi.
Is there a way to create a form that will store the information locally? -
