I’m a Master of Physics with Computer Science, former president of the University of Sheffield Free Software Society, spare-time Computer Science researcher, general hacker and heavy metal enthusiast. I spend my days cobbling together HTML using PHP and Java, only to pay the bills mind.
I am a big fan of Object Oriented ( http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?AlanKayOnObjects ) and Functional ( http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Research_papers/Functional_pearls ) programming, and I’m currently trying to make a somewhat-intelligent Lego robot using the power of Arduino and algorithmic information theory.
